The Easy Digital Downloads – Payfast Integration allows you to accept payments through Payfast, South Africa’s most popular payment gateway. 

This integration supports once off and recurring payments.

Installation

  1. Download the plugin file from the Pacific Plugins website and upload edd-payfast to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory of your site.
  2. Alternatively, login to your WordPress admin, navigate to the Plugins page and click ‘Add New’ followed by uploading the downloaded zip file.
  3. Activate the plugin through the Plugins menu in the WordPress admin.

Settings

  1. This plugin requires Easy Digital Downloads to be installed and activated.
  2. Enter your Payfast account credentials by navigating Easy Digital Downloads > Settings > Payment Gateways and clicking on the Payfast tab. Your live and sandbox account credentials can be entered here. 
  3. Note: A Payfast passphrase is required for recurring products. 
  4. Navigate to the General tab and click on the Currency link to change your default currency to ZAR (South African Rand)
